A simple process that anyone can lead.

Story Group Process wheel diagram
1

Pray

Open the gathering with prayer.

2

Worship

Sing or worship together.

3

Review

Reconnect with the previous story.

  • What did you learn last time we met?
  • Can anyone retell the story from last time?
4

Celebrate Obedience

Share how God has been at work.

  • Were you able to share a Bible story with anyone since we last met?
  • How did you obey what you learned last time we met?
5

New Story

Hear and internalize a new story together.

  • Tell or listen to the story 2 times out loud.
  • As a group, retell the story piece by piece.
  • Act out the story.
6

Practice

Strengthen retention through paired retelling.

  • Pair up and retell half the story to each other.
  • Pair up with a new person and retell the whole story.
7

Story Questions

Reflect and apply together.

  • What did you like about that story?
  • Is there anything you didn't understand or like about the story?
  • What does this story teach us about God or Jesus?
  • What does this story teach us about man?
  • After hearing this story, is there anything you need to believe?
  • After hearing this story, what do you need to do or change in your life?
8

Commissioning Prayer

Send one another out with purpose.

  • Who will you tell this story to? When? Pray for them.
