Martha and Her Sister

One day Savior Jesus and His closest followers came to a village. In that village there was a woman named Martha. And Martha invited them into her home and began preparing a meal for them.

Now Martha had a sister. And this sister sat right at the feet of Jesus and listened intently to everything He was teaching about. But her sister Martha was only concerned about the food she was cooking and didn’t pay any attention to Jesus Himself.

Then she came to Jesus and said, “Savior Jesus, look! I’m doing all this work, but my sister is just sitting here doing nothing. Tell her to come and help me.

Then Jesus said, “Martha! You are worried and stressed out about so many things, but none of it is important. There is only one thing that is important, and that’s exactly what your sister is doing – sitting with Me and listening to My teaching.
